Glowing review!

It’s 30 years this year since I bought my cello from him and I’ve had 3 amazing days this week watching and learning just what goes into a bow rehair on a course at Woodbridge Violins and being on the other side of the counter. Russell has so much skill at what he does but I think an equal amount of patience as he’s watched me make countless wedges, knots and give a violin bow a much needed haircut (that wasn’t meant to happen!). I’ve learnt so much about what makes a bow rehair work better for a player (or not) which is something that everyone should know but just is never taught to recognise. I’ve rehaired a cello bow and violin bow and enjoyed over- hearing the customers. I’m going home feeling like I know what goes into a bow rehair and how to improve - I’m determined to give it some more goes at home. But most of all I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the guidance and conversation from people and a business that has helped me in countless ways almost since I first started playing about 35 years ago.
